|One evening as we were setting up the sanctuary a teenage girl came urgently asking for me to pray for her. Her teeth were chattering and she was shivering while all the rest of us were sweating. She was really sick and wanted us to stop our work on the sanctuary and help her. Every day was like this as people came to get help at all hours of the day.|
|I gave her some charcoal tablets from my emergency supplies always kept handy for snake bites, stings, or stomach pain in our children. After getting her to understand how to take the charcoal, I also gave her Tylenol and had special prayer for her.|
|The next morning she came to clinic stating she was
better and she wanted more of our charcoal. We prayed again for her and
thanked God for what He had done. We know that we can administer
treatments but it is God who does the healing. The next day she was all
smiles and stated she was well.
James 5:14,15 Is any sick among you, let them call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the LORD shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.
Mark 16:18, 19 And these signs shall follow them that believe...and they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
I saw it with my own eyes. I saw Jesus raise up the sick. I knew He was rewarding their simple faith. I know God has all the power possible. There is nothing too hard for HIM.
