Go
ye therefore, and teach all nations ... and lo, I am with you
always.
Matthew
28: 19 & 20
The
news must be told throughout the world that "God so loved
the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever
believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God
did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to
save the world through Him."
John 3:
16, 17 NIV
Every
Christian is like a precious stone that catches light from the
glory of God and reflects it. As they reflect it, they also get
a blessing. The more a person tries to explain the Bible to
others, the plainer God's Word becomes to them. It is divided
into small enough parts that they can see the different parts
that make up the light. In that way, it is just like the
spectrum of light. There is a rich rainbow of the different
colors of God's love for everyone to enjoy.
So
"Let your light so shine before men that they may see your
good works, and glorify your Father which is in Heaven."
Matthew 5: 13- 16
Ellen
White says that "Every true believer catches the beams from
the Morning Star, and transmits the light to those who are in
darkness. Not only do they shine in their own neighborhoods, but
as a church they go forth to regions beyond." The General
Conference Bulletin, 02-22-1895
She
also states that "Every sincerely converted soul has his
work to do; he is to receive grace from Christ, and to give as
freely as he has received. he is to let the light from the
bright and morning star shine forth in self-denial, in
self-sacrifice, as Christ has given the example in His own life
and character. (Advent Review and Sabbath Herald 10-06-1896,
Whosoever Will, Let Him Com, PR 04)
And
finally, she says that "God calls upon all who have been
drinking of the water of life to lead others to the fountain ...
I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in
the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the
bright and morning star" Revelation 22: 16. Christ is to be
your light. Christ is to be your sufficiency and power."
(This Day With God, EGW, Let Christ Be Your Light, p. 327)
The
ripples you make by throwing rocks into a pond, are like the
ripple effects made when one person shares the gospel. The new
Christian who just learned wants to share with many others the
joy they discovered in Jesus. It is natural to want to share it.
It is so much fun.
Jesus
does not have enough workers sharing the gospel. There are
millions who have never heard of God. We are to ask God to send
out more workers to make ripples with the good news about Jesus
(Matthew 9: 37, 38). We not only need to share the gospel, but
we need to encourage others to share with expenses and prayer
for them. This encourages a team spirit among the workers. Will
you help make ripples?
