As a child, I remember seeing a picture of two paths painted by an artist trying to depict the road to heaven and the road to death. One road was narrow and uphill, the other was downhill and very wide. I remember thinking about that picture and wondering which road my feet were on.
I prayed that God would keep me on His narrow road up to heaven. I asked Him to help me obey His commandments and follow all that He showed me.  I will never forget that picture. This is why my web site is filled with pictures. That picture really had an impact on my life.
The Bible talks about these two roads and the end portion is also focused on in Mathew. God puts His spotlight on the road to heaven. Unfortunately there are not very many people that want to walk on that narrow road to heaven.

 Mathew 7:13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide [is] the gate, and broad [is] the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
7:14 Because strait [is] the gate, and narrow [is] the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

Psalms 16:11 Thou wilt show me the path of life: in thy presence [is] fulness of joy; at thy right hand [there are] pleasures for evermore.
Psalms 119:34 Give me understanding, and I shall keep thy law; yea, I shall observe it with [my] whole heart.
119:35 Make me to go in the path of thy commandments; for therein do I delight.
Psalms 119:105  Thy word [is] a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.
King Solomon said this about the road that leads to death.

Proverbs 1:10 My son, if sinners entice thee, consent thou not.
1:11 If they say, Come with us, let us lay wait for blood, let us lurk privily for the innocent without cause:
1:12 Let us swallow them up alive as the grave; and whole, as those that go down into the pit:
1:13 We shall find all precious substance, we shall fill our houses with spoil:
1:14 Cast in thy lot among us; let us all have one purse:
1:15 My son, walk not thou in the way with them; refrain thy foot from their path:
1:16 For their feet run to evil, and make haste to shed blood.
1:17 Surely in vain the net is spread in the sight of any bird.
1:18 And they lay wait for their [own] blood; they lurk privily for their [own] lives.
1:19 So [are] the ways of every one that is greedy of gain; [which] taketh away the life of the owners thereof.

Solomon also says this:

Proverbs 4:14 Enter not into the path of the wicked, and go not in the way of evil [men].
4:15 Avoid it, pass not by it, turn from it, and pass away.
4:16 For they sleep not, except they have done mischief; and their sleep is taken away, unless they cause [some] to fall.
4:17 For they eat the bread of wickedness, and drink the wine of violence.
4:18 But the path of the just [is] as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day.
4:19 The way of the wicked [is] as darkness: they know not at what they stumble.
4:20 My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings.

When you choose to take the path to heaven and eternal life and happiness, there will be people who don't like your example and will pick on you. Look at what the Bible says: Psalms 27:10 When my father and my mother forsake me, then the LORD will take me up.
27:11 Teach me thy way, O LORD, and lead me in a plain path, because of mine enemies.
27:12 Deliver me not over unto the will of mine enemies: for false witnesses are risen up against me, and such as breathe out cruelty.
Many are led to think that they are on the road to heaven because they profess to believe in Christ, while they reject the law of God. But they will find at last that they were on the way to perdition instead of heaven. Spiritual poison is sugarcoated with the doctrine of sanctification, and administered to the people. Thousands eagerly swallow it, feeling that if they are only honest in their belief they will be safe. But sincerity will not convert error to truth. A man may swallow poison, thinking it is food; but his sincerity will not save him from the effects of the dose. {FW 32.3}
What would you think if you were given a wonderful gift of riches and you just got angry about it instead of using it for your enjoyment?
Many stumble over blessings given to help you on the path to heaven. Sometimes the steepness of the path requires all the strength we have. Well, God provided health principles which can make us strong enough to make the last part of the path. When hiking up a steep mountain, you need energy. God knew the last days on this earth would be full of difficulties. He gave us a special health message to prepare us for that last sprint of the race.
God also directed that we rest on the 7th day from labor and spend the day with Him. We only do labor which is necessary for life and to relieve suffering. Exodus 20. Many stumble over the 4th commandment. In the past, many dedicated Christians have died believing on Jesus yet not realizing He wanted them to keep the seventh day Sabbath. They lived up to the light they had. God will honor that. He knows every bit of light He has put on our pathway. Yet when He shines new light on your path and you reject it, He knows you really do not want any more light and you shift over to the path that heads to destruction.

Many get angry that God says those who are preparing for translation will put away and not eat meat, dairy products, and milk. They think God is unfair to require such of us. Some become so furious with rage that they attack anyone thanking God for the new light.  They ignore the fact that the items mentioned are filled with disease and increase to be a hazard in direct proportion to the increase in crime. God only shared this health secret to save them sorrow and suffering. They are stumbling over the blessing and blaming God for giving them a gift. They love to eat chocolate and cheese even though God told them it has poisons which harm them. They stumble over the gift. They are not given any more light because they would stumble more.

"You are stumbling over the very blessing which heaven has placed in your path to make progress less difficult. Satan presents this before you in the most objectionable light, that you may combat that which would prove the greatest benefit to you, which would be for your physical and spiritual health." Counsels on Diet page 39

Take the high road to heaven, my friend. Accept any light from heaven and you will not stumble over the blessings. Obey everything you learn from the Bible and you will be blessed with extra light on your path. You can use these blessings to help others up the path to heaven. Praise God for the light you have for millions in the world do not have it and would rejoice to have you share it with them.
Jesus cares which path you take. He prays for you.

Ye are not your own; for ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's." 1 Corinthians 6:19, 20. Yes, we are God's property, and the path of obedience to nature's laws is the direct path to heaven. He who is converted from errors in eating, drinking, and dressing is being prepared to hear and receive the truth into a good and willing heart. Many, by practicing the laws of nature and by receiving the renovating grace of God into the soul, obtain a new lease of physical and spiritual life. "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom." Proverbs 9:10. Let wisdom's voice be heard, for "her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace." Proverbs 3:17.... {CH 221.4}

Upon this earth there are thousands and tens of thousands of heavenly messengers commissioned by the Father to prevent Satan from obtaining any advantage over those who refuse to walk in the path of evil. And these angels who guard God's children on earth are in communication with the Father in heaven. "Take heed that ye despise not one of these little ones," Christ said; "for I say unto you, That in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven" (Matt. 18:10). {HP 99.2}
My friend check it out, which path are you on? I am praying you are taking the path to heaven as I have chosen. We can meet at our journey's end in heaven. You can share with me all that God has done to bless you in your life. Come to my home and have a strawberry feast and share with me.
God Himself has loved you so much He has composed music with your name and all about you in the song. (Zephaniah 3:17) Don't disappoint Him. He prays you will take Him up on His invitation to you. He is making a home for you there. Believe, trust, and obey. He did not say it would be easy to climb up the narrow path through mountains into heaven. Yet He did say it would be worth it.
Come on, let's go down that path towards heaven. Jesus is on that path with more light for each step we take in that direction.
No man stumbles into heaven. No man goes there blindfolded. If he will take time to consider, every man may know whether he is in the strait and narrow path, or in the broad road that leads to death and hell. {FLB 365.2}
If we do not receive the religion of Christ by feeding upon the Word of God, we shall not be entitled to an entrance into the city of God. Having lived on earthly food, having educated our tastes to love worldly things, we would not be fitted for the heavenly courts; we could not appreciate the pure, heavenly current that circulates in heaven. The voices of the angels and the music of their harps would not satisfy us. The science of heaven would be as an enigma to our minds. We need to hunger and thirst for the righteousness of Christ; we need to be molded and fashioned by the transforming influence of His grace, that we may be fitted for the society of heavenly angels. {FLB 365.3}
We must have a vision of the future and of the blessedness of heaven. . . . There the redeemed ones greet those who directed them to the uplifted Saviour. . . . The conflict is over. All tribulation and strife are at an end. Songs of victory fill all heaven as the redeemed stand around the throne of God. {FLB 365.4}
Then the nations will own no other law than the law of heaven. All will be a happy, united family, clothed with the garments of praise and thanksgiving. . . . Over the scene the morning stars will sing together, and the sons of God will shout for joy, while God and Christ will unite in proclaiming, "There shall be no more sin, neither shall there be any more death. {FLB 365.5} Faith I Live by,  by Ellen White
When people on the path to destruction see those on the path to heaven, there is often road rage. Click here to understand what that is.
