Welcome to illustratedbible.com section on Bible forgiveness. These illustrations in the Bible have been closely studied for how to deal with modern day insults, and out right persecution. After the Summary button, you see a section on persecution. It seems this section of the web site is the best tool for preparing for the end of the world trouble that the Bible tells us about.

Bible forgiveness is sometimes very hard to do. If you become very angry, you think it is best to let the other person get the full benefit of your feelings. Standing up for yourself is not always the best way. Jesus says that if you want forgiveness you need to forgive others.

My Bible Says:

  1. Forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors. Matthew 6: 12
  2. But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in Heaven forgive your trespasses. Mark 11: 26
  3. And to him that smiteth thee (hits you) on the one cheek, offer also the other; and him that taketh away thy cloak forbid not to take thy coat also. Luke 6: 29
  4. Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you. Luke 6: 28
  5. Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you. Luke 6: 27
  6. Love your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great...Luke 6: 35

Let us look at some Bible Stories that are good examples of this kind of forgiveness.

Bible Stories of Forgiveness (Joseph forgives brothers, Abigail asks forgiveness for her husband, Caleb and Joshua ask forgiveness for the stoning brigade, Job prays for his poor comforters, Daniel forgives the king, Jesus forgives his persecutors, Steven forgives his killers, Damascus brothers forgive Saul the killer and Paul forgives those who reject his counsel)
