100 FOLD BLESSING
Branches are breaking under the blessings being poured out on Country Haven Academy in 2004. This amazing answer to prayer prompts one to think seriously about missed opportunities in asking for more blessings.
There
is so much fruit that limbs are cracking under the load. Staff who had been with
the school for decades stated the trees had never been so heavily loaded that
they could remember.
Huge
rich flavored peaches are the most amazing the school has ever seen.
Two peaches weigh a pound. This is the average not the exception. Two and
one half peaches fill a quart jar for canning. The school normally preserves in
jars all the fruit it grows. Students are working hard to can much fruit. Still
there is so much that they need to sell the excess before the fruit falls.
Besides peaches there was an abundance of apricots, plums, and grapes. The
school garden also had a bumper crop.
We
have a great big wonderful God. Wouldn’t
it be fun to ask 100 fold blessings on missionaries, teachers, and pastors, and
medical evangelists. ?
Over 5,000 pounds of organically grown huge, perfect, and unusually
delicious peaches have been picked from the trees while other growers around
have little to no fruit due to spring frost. Still more are being harvested as
the miracle unfolds. The apple trees are so heavily packed the branches are
bending under the load. In a couple months that harvest
will reveal the 100 fold blessing also. The greenhouses have already done
more business than ever in the past. The orders had a tremendous increase over
past years.
Though
organically grown, out of over 600 quarts canned at the school and 100 quarts by
report of consumers, no insects are found inside the peaches, the fruit is of
such healthy perfect condition. God has made a generous miracle. Consumers
report there has never been such delicious peaches ever tasted. It reminds us of
the grape juice Jesus made out of water for the wedding at Cana, because no
special care was given the orchard. God has opened the windows of heaven.
There is more to the story. The fruit was ripening too fast for the hands
available to harvest and care for it all. The summer crew of students had gone
home for a week break before school begins August 9. People came from Walla
Walla remarking how unusual that Country Haven had peaches. They could not find
any other grower who had peaches.
Prayers again went up to heaven for God to send cloud cover while help
arrived to harvest the fruit. The heat put
the peaches at risk of loss. The clouds rolled in quickly and the temperatures
dropped at least 25 degrees. A thunder storm brought cold heavy rains. The fruit
firmed up for travel. The peaches traveling two
hours into Spokane in a non air-conditioned car needed a special cloud cover.
God provided 73 degrees with cool cloud cover.
What a blessed change from the 96-103 degrees experienced the day before!
Isaiah 25:4 & 5
“ “For thou hast been a strength …a shadow from the heat…with the
shadow of a cloud.”
Apples and grapes will
be ready in September and October. Again, there is far more than Country Haven
Academy can harvest for their own use. These trees and vines also are stretching
under the 100 fold blessing. The taste of this blessing is an encouragement
for the souls of all who love to see God answer prayers.
God is truly blessing the efforts to provide premium quality
Christian Education on this campus.
Psalms
34:8 O taste and see that the LORD [is] good:
blessed [is] the man [that] trusteth in him.
( I personally tasted these peaches and picked 700 pounds. God is Good. He does
every thing in a very generous way! Having grown up on a fruit farm in Oregon, I
have tasted many good peaches but these far out did them all. In all that I
tasted of the tree ripened fruit, there was a richer color and taste than any I
have tasted in my life.)
34:9
O fear the LORD, ye his saints: for [there is] no want to them that fear
him.
34:10
The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the LORD
shall not want any good [thing].
