PAINTED CHICKS

TITHE

We have been always watching for chick pictures to use as an illustration when we teach the Bible plan of tithing. We explain that the partnership plan with the KING of the universe really works well. When He increases our resources, He asks that we return only one tenth of the increase. This is not because He needs anything. It is His plan for our demonstration of a constant desire to be partners with Him. The tithe is to be taken to HIS house. He said that there would be food in His house that way. 

In return, God opens the windows and pours out blessings so that there is not room enough to receive it all. He is frustrated because so many hang on tightly to all of their increase. They get so busy stashing it here and there or trying to pay their bills that they do not believe their Partner in business will help them. They are right because they are actually robbing their Partner of the privilege of blessing them. They are not really partners. God cannot bless them.

I was looking to have 10 chicks so they could declare how many were God's chicks. I was going to show currency. chicks, fruits, and animals. The camera is always pulled out whenever there are chicks running around. 

Imagine our surprise when we saw a green chick. We had never seen anyone dye the chicks before. We don't know if it was only in fun or if there is some meaning behind this. We grabbed the camera and had some fun.

Leviticus 27:30 And all the tithe of the land, [whether] of the seed of the land, [or] of the fruit of the tree, [is] the LORD'S: [it is] holy unto the LORD. 
27:31 And if a man will at all redeem [ought] of his tithes, he shall add thereto the fifth [part] thereof. 

Leviticus 27:32 And concerning the tithe of the herd, or of the flock, [even] of whatsoever passeth under the rod, the tenth shall be holy unto the LORD. 

Deut. 14:28 At the end of three years thou shalt bring forth all the tithe of thine increase the same year, and shalt lay [it] up within thy gates: 
14:29 And the Levite, (because he hath no part nor inheritance with thee,) and the stranger, and the fatherless, and the widow, which [are] within thy gates, shall come, and shall eat and be satisfied; that the LORD thy God may bless thee in all the work of thine hand which thou doest. 

Malachi 3:8 Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings. 
3:9 Ye [are] cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed me, [even] this whole nation. 
3:10 Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that [there shall] not [be room] enough [to receive it]. 
3:11 And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the LORD of hosts. 
3:12 And all nations shall call you blessed: for ye shall be a delightsome land, saith the LORD of hosts.
