Watch for these Signs and BE READY

 Here is a list of some signs:

1. Mt. 24:6-8 lists many signs: Nation fights nation, famines, earthquakes, pestilences (diseases that take and destroy large groups of people and food sources) These are only the beginning of sorrows.

2. Signs in the heavens. At the close of the papal persecution, Christ declared the sun would be darkened, and the moon would not give her light. (The end happened in 1798 when the pope was taken captive) Next the stars would fall from heaven. (1833) Mathew 24:32,33

3. Men's hearts will fail them for fear.

4. False Prophets: There will be false dreams, false visions, but keep studying the WORD. The Bible is what all can be tested by.

5. Gluttony and Intemperance. Just before the flood, eating, drinking and dressing were the main focus and they will also be just before Jesus comes. "As it was in the days of Noah, so also shall it be when the son of man cometh..." Mt. 24:37-39

6.  Deeds of violence:  As in the days of Noah, there will be violence at the end. The shooting in schools, the gang violence, terrorist attacks on our trade towers and robberies, murders and immorality is definitely a fulfillment of this. Very soon God will pour out His judgments.

7. Great Balls of fire- There will be great balls of fire falling upon houses with fiery arrows flying in every direction. The firemen will not be able to stop the fires. The fear of everyone will be terrible. These fall among some beautiful mansions causing instant destruction. (Vol. 9 of Testimonies to the Church page 28, by Ellen White written in 1909)

8. Volcanoes: Since the Flood, fire as well as water has been God's agent to destroy very wicked cities. These judgments are sent that those who lightly regard God's law and trample upon His authority may be led to tremble before His power and to confess His just sovereignty. As men have beheld burning mountains pouring forth fire and flames and torrents of melted ore, drying up rivers, overwhelming populous cities, and everywhere spreading ruin and desolation, the stoutest heart has been filled with terror and infidels and blasphemers have been constrained to acknowledge the infinite power of God. {PP 109.1}

9. Scoffers at God's Word: "There shall come in the last days scoffers," he wrote, "walking after their own lusts, and saying, Where is the promise of His coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation." But "when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction comes upon them." 1 Thessalonians 5:3. Not all, however, would be ensnared by the enemy's devices. As the end of all things earthly should approach, there would be faithful ones able to discern the signs of the times. 

10. People too busy to study the Bible. The Bible declares that in the last days men will be absorbed in worldly pursuits, in pleasure and money-getting. They will be blind to eternal realities. Christ says, "As the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, and knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be." Matt. 24:37-39. {COL 228.1}
So it is today. Men are rushing on in the chase for gain and selfish indulgence as if there were no God, no heaven, and no hereafter. .. The Lord calls upon His servants to carry His message to the people. 
The word of everlasting life must be given to those who are perishing in their sins. {COL 228.4}

11. Terrible things to happen in the cities (Revelation 11 and 18 describes this)

The prophecies predicted the sad events that  happened on September 11 in New York city. We must read our Bibles, pray and tell the Bible truths so we will be ready to meet Jesus. He is coming soon!

I quote to you a prophecy that was written almost 100 years ago about New York, and happened on September 11.

On one occasion, when in New York City, I was in the night season called upon to behold buildings rising story after story toward heaven. These buildings were warranted to be fireproof, and they were erected to glorify their owners and builders. . . . {LDE 113.1} Last Day Events by Ellen White
The scene that next passed before me was an alarm of fire. Men looked at the lofty and supposedly fireproof buildings and said: "They are perfectly safe." But these buildings were consumed as if made of pitch. The fire engines could do nothing to stay the destruction. God has not executed His wrath without mercy. His hand is stretched out still. His message must be given in Greater New York. The people must be shown how it is possible for God, by a touch of His hand, to destroy the property they have gathered together against the last great day.--3MR 310, 311 (1902). {LDE 112.3}
I have no light in particular in regard to what is coming on New York, only that I know that one day the great buildings there will be thrown down by the turning and overturning of God's power. . . . Death will come in all places. This is why I am so anxious for our cities to be warned.--RH July 5, 1906. {LDE 112.4}
