Cook up Pinto beans, or lentils, or lima beans, or fava beans as a base. Sometimes we have all these options. We use the crock pot or slow cooker over night to cook these up slowly. For our family of 6 we put 1 1/2 to 2 cups of beans into the crock pot and fill it with 6-10 cups water. Season with: 1 tsp onion powder, 1 tsp sweet basil, 1 tsp. salt.
The table is arranged with all the possible toppings and each can arrange their haystack as they want. We have fun asking each to make unique ones and we take pictures and grant them a surprise for doing a nice job. |

The topping is a tofu mayonnaise. |
The topping can either be the cheese sauce as seen on the
lasagna recipe or this white sauce.
In a blender place 1 cube Mori-nu tofu and whiz in 1/2 cup water. Add 1tsp. onion powder 1/2 tsp garlic powder 1/2 tsp salt 1 tsp dill weed 1/2-1 tsp lemon juice concentrate. Optional: Add in 1 avocado blending smooth.
