Wheel in a Wheel

Up Dry Bones Wheel in a Wheel

Ezekiel had some amazing visions that are good lessons for us today. He lived during the time of Daniel. He was a priest.

In the sky the laws of physics are played out in a wheel inside of a wheel of rainbows. Ice crystals of different shapes cause the light to refract in different ways. If the conditions are just right and the crystals are turning at just the right angle, you can see a wheel inside of a wheel in the sky in rainbow colors. I have seen this event about 5 times in my life. I love to get pictures of this. These laws of physics are described more on my web site called larom.org.

Look in the first and second chapters of Ezekiel. What do you think about those wheels?
Ezekiel 1:15 Now as I beheld the living creatures, behold one wheel upon the earth by the living creatures, with his four faces.
1:16 The appearance of the wheels and their work [was] like unto the colour of a beryl: and they four had one likeness: and their appearance and their work [was] as it were a wheel in the middle of a wheel.
1:17 When they went, they went upon their four sides: [and] they turned not when they went.

1:19 And when the living creatures went, the wheels went by them: and when the living creatures were lifted up from the earth, the wheels were lifted up.
1:20 Whithersoever the spirit was to go, they went, thither [was their] spirit to go; and the wheels were lifted up over against them: for the spirit of the living creature [was] in the wheels.
1:21 When those went, [these] went; and when those stood, [these] stood; and when those were lifted up from the earth, the wheels were lifted up over against them: for the spirit of the living creature [was] in the wheels.

Those wheels are going different directions. It sounds confusing.
On a big semi truck you can see many wheels but they all turn in the same direction. If they did not, the truck would not move along in the direction the driver wanted
Ezekiel's wheels make me think of a clock. Clocks have wheels inside that go in different directions in order for it to keep time.

Although this alarm clock looks complicated, there only about a dozen moving parts. There are four gears between the main spring and the escapement wheel. The fourth gear's shaft drives the second hand. In order to operate it needs an escapement wheel, and anchor, and the oscillating wheel and spring. There are four gears for the hour hand, minute hand and the alarm hand. There are two gears for the alarm hammer, one of which doubles as an escapement wheel.

The clock maker has to be very skillful in making these wheels all turn at the right speed and in the right direction for the clock to keep perfect time.

When God turns the wheels on HIS big clock on this earth many things turn in different directions. God is in control and He will bring about His plan even though Satan is causing so many problems. God can even take the trouble Satan causes and turn it as one of the wheels to bring about good to the people who love and obey HIM. The heavenly messengers that Ezekiel saw were going fast as lightning. This represents the speed that the work will be completed. God never sleeps. He carries His work through in harmony. Everything works together in His plan. It looks tangled and complicated to us but God's hands keep it in order like He keeps the stars and planets in order. God is so intelligent and powerful He can devise ways and means to defeat the purposes of wicked counselors and those who plot out mischief. (Review and Herald January 11, 1887) By Ellen White
All things work together in the lives of those who love and obey God.

Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to [his] purpose

God will always work with anyone who puts away sin and gives his heart totally to Him. Our lives may not make sense. There are so many things that never do make sense. Yet God is in control of all the things that don't make sense. When you ask Him to control all the wheels, no one else has permission to take His job from Him. He is able to keep the job you gave Him to do for your life.

 (2 Timothy 1:12 For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day. )

-The sixth chapter of Isaiah has a deep and important lesson for every one of God's workmen. Study it with humility and earnest prayer. The first and second chapters of Ezekiel should also be carefully studied. The wheels within wheels represented in this symbol was confusion to the finite eye. But a hand of infinite wisdom was revealed amid the wheels. Perfect order is brought out of the confusion. Every wheel works in its right place, in perfect harmony with every other part of the machinery. {ChL 26.4}
I have been shown that human beings desire too much power. They desire to control, and the Lord God, the mighty worker is left out of their work. The workmen feel qualified to hold the highest place. Let no man attempt to manage that work which should be left in the hands of the great I AM, and who is in His own way planning how the work shall be done. Know that God is the Instructor of His servants, and He will work through whom He will.--Manuscript 143, 1899. {ChL 26.5}
