Miracle Mobility
The Mission had just been completed in Gisenyi, North Rwanda Mountains.

The baptism on the mountain in Kabaya district was so beautiful. Twenty of the 109 were ready to be baptized as they wanted. There were over 100 seen in our clinic the day before. We were so exhausted!!!!!!!!! We were looking forward to sleep. The helpers made so much noise all up to midnight each night and beyond. We had no energy left.

We were so pleased to have many visitors come to the clinic on Sunday. There were many happy Muslims getting glasses. We praise God for all He did on the mountain.
My back went in the early morning while packing the suitcases and I had to be transported on a bike to the baptism. The mountain stream had been dammed up with church benches till it was deep enough for submerging those wanting baptism. The singing was wonderful. They placed me on a mat on a hill above the baptism so I could get pictures. I had to be moved by others. They kindly even covered me with an umbrella to keep the sun from toasting my skin. Not too far from me, Jenny was handing out Bibles to those as they left the water. She encouraged them with a handshake and gift of a Bible. As it finished, I was ported down the hill and across a ditch on the bike. We were happily surprised to see the truck arrive to get us and all the equipment. The truck moved us up from where the baptism was in the river and on up to the village where suitcases were ready. I am so thankful the back did not go out till the last bag had been packed.
The severity of the pain had me in agony over the bumpy roads down the mountain.
God worked a special blessing in Kigali, Rwanda airport through friends Reuben and Bosco in getting passports stamped and exit clearance through customs while I sat waiting for a wheelchair. They took the bags and helped Jenny check onto the airplane. Then I was taken around in a wheel chair through a gate and out to the plane. Getting up those stairs was agony. There were some long lay over waits like in Amsterdam. We were very hungry for we had used all our food funds for getting the extra piece normally hand luggage but checked on due to back injury.
Long flights with being confined to small spaces was misery for my back. I turned and twisted trying to get comfortable during the 9 and 10 hour flights. Nothing seemed to relieve the back pain. I took pain meds and tried to distract my mind with reading.
3 DAYS LATER – God healed me
We reached Spokane airport and the wheel chair took me right to the door of our car. My husband gently lifted me in and we went to church to prayer meeting. God heard the prayers on my behalf and afterwards, I moved freely. Another miracle! God waited to answer our prayers till after others had joined and we were off the plane. Perhaps He wanted me to rest and let them help me with luggage, transfers, and all. There were so many subway transfers in Seattle. I was thankful they knew where I should be going.
Before heading to our car at the airport, Chris met us with warm lasagna, salad, and bread. Wow! It was heaven’s blessing to us. Never did food taste so good.
