InTarapoto, Peru at Last
<<<<SEATTLE. As the plane touched down we started running up and down stairs to catch a shuttle then up stairs then down the ramp all in 8 minutes. Huffing and puffing we boarded immediately.Breathlessly we watched our luggage loaded and we ere off. We know it ws our for we had new rainbow straps about each in case the bulging contents burst any zippers. WISH I had gotten back into jogging 3 miles a day to be in shape for the journey. WHEW!
Wearing 30 pounds and running plus pulling our cart.
JEnny spotted it first. A doublerainbow circle encircled the jet shadow brightest over the part we were sitting in.We got some real good pictures of it before camera battery was dead. ALASKA AIRLINES
We took Alaska to LA then Lan Peru the rest of the way. Alaska representatives were courteous, friendly, and very good to me.Lori was right at the elbow of Katie as she did her first long distance ticketing. Lori was the one who helped us with bags into India for orphans. She had helped a little boy to the US for surgery. While the plane scheduled for his pick up was in the air, there was an earthquake in India. In spite of it all, he was found and sucessfully taken to and fromIndia. She has a heart for missions and made sure we were logged into the system correctly.

We arrived in Lima at midnight. It was cold and we were glad for our 3 layers and sweater and coats. We slept on the floor for awhile then when doors opened to our gate we found a more comfortable padded row of seats to sleep more.

My scales at home is running light by 6 pounds and we were struggling to find places in carry bags for what was overage poundage in the 6 bags. Finally she allowed 3 pounds extra in a few over 70. Wow! We made it in.
We are not afraid of the road ahead in the morning although it is known for bandits. 2Kings 6:16 says :Fear not, they that be with us are more than they that be with them.
If need be,there will be angels visible like the army about Elisha.
The journey from LAX to Lima lasted 8 hours arriving midnight. One said I had 100kg excess and when I went to pay, they said it was 137kg excess. It wasa 300 dollar charge and then we headed to the gate where we paid 5 dollars each for boarding.
I don't know if and when I paid any 28 dollar tax. I am sure I did not get that charge. I did not leave the airport.
I love the time to store in promises and sleep.
"Those who decide to do nothing in any line that will displease God, will know, after presenting their case before Him,just what course to pursue. And they will receive not only wisdom, but strength. Power for obedience, for service, will be imparted." Desire ofAges 668.

STRENGTH He gave! We had help moving HIS THINGS TO HIS JOB SITE. Jenny pulled all those heavy 72-75 pound bags from belt and loaded them onto carts.
A young American was sobbing as she had just missed her flight out of Lima to LA cal for a family emergency. We prayed with her and she seemed comforted. She helped put our bags onto the scales to check onto the domestic flight to Tarapoto.
We believe that Pressy's & Nester's prayers were answered as we had a very nice, pleasant, safe journey. We were treated very nice.
Next update will be from Yurimaguas.
